Discipleship:
Objective:  Experience the joy of the Lord which comes from spending time in His presence.
Start your homeschool day with prayer and Bible reading.  Our Character Virtue of the month is Faith.

Math:
Continue doing a 5 min warm-up with the assigned Math fact sheet.  If your child has mastered the current fact sheet, move on the next one.  Do 5 min of Mental Math daily.

Objectives:
1. Subtract related fractions.
2. Solve word problems involving fractions.
3. Practice adding and subtracting like fractions.
4. Practice adding and subtracting related fractions.

For Practice 3A if your student has a good handle on adding and subtracting fractions, you can skip some of the 1-5 problems or do them orally.   Some students will benefit from this practice, others may not need that much.  You know your student, so you determine how many problems you would like them to complete, however I would like all students to complete the word problems, using a bar model where necessary. All answers do need to be in simplest form.

For Practice 3B, students will most likely need more practice on problems 1-5.  However, if your student can solve them easily and correctly, feel free to skip some of them.

Please complete all the work assigned for home days, including workbook and practice exercises, as well as math facts practice. Please grade all work by first indicating which answers are incorrect and then giving your student an opportunity to correct his/her mistakes before offering assistance.
