Dear Families,

It has been my joy and privilege to be your classroom teacher this year. I'm very sad that our classroom time together ended so abruptly, but I'm thankful for the opportunity to at least see your faces over the past two months. I love each of you so very much!  I hope you have enjoyed 4th grade, learned much, and grown in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. I will miss you all and continue to pray for you over the summer. Have a wonderful, relaxing, fun summer, and I hope to see each of you back at school in the fall!

Much love,
Mrs. Johnson
Retain the skills you've worked so hard to gain!  Here are some summer suggestions:
  • Read!  A lot.  Read aloud whenever possible.
  • Review Math -  Do about 15 minutes of math 2-3 times a week throughout the summer to keep your math skills strong!  Continue on in Aleks Math, or the Singapore Math Primary Mathematics US Edition Extra Practice books are an excellent resource for reviewing all that was taught in A and B this year.  Christianbook.com.
  • Read!
  • Write in a personal journal about things you do over the break.  Write down your thoughts, things you do and experience, and any new things you learn or want to learn.  Prayers and favorite Bible verses are great things to write too!
  • Identify birds and insects.
  • Read!  A lot.
Have a wonderful summer!
