2. Learn to dress-up writing by using an -ly opener.
3. Begin writing a rough draft for your story.

Objectives: 
1. Identify and name the main parts of a library.
2. Use guide words to find words in a dictionary.
3. Identify the parts of dictionary entry words.     

Spelling
Objectives: Students will learn to spell words with the sound of /er/ as in journey.   
History

We have a simple introduction to Inventive Writing (Unit 7) this week.  This is merely a starting point.  Your student will explore this much more in depth in 5th & 6th grade.  
Objective:  Write a 1-paragraph prompt-based composition.

Spelling
Objectives: 
1. Students will learn to spell words with the word ending in /awt/ spelled ought.
2. Students will learn to spell words with a followed by l.  
       
Grammar
Objectives:
1. Students will learn how to write a thank you note.
2. Students will learn how to write an invitation: who, what, when, where, "whipped cream".
3. Students will be able to identify the parts of a book: title page, copyright page, preface, body, table of contents, appendix, glossary, bibliography, index.
