Math:
Continue doing a 5 min warm-up with the assigned Math fact sheet. If your child has mastered the current fact sheet, move on the next one.
Review previous Mental Maths this week.

Please complete all the work assigned for home days, including workbook and practice exercises, as well as math facts practice. Please grade all work by first indicating which answers are incorrect and then giving your student an opportunity to correct his/her mistakes before offering assistance.
Composition
Objectives:
1. Write a polished final draft of The Four Oxen & the Lioness incorporating an -ly word & vocab word.
2. Create a KWO from a source text.
3. Learn and incorporate new vocabulary words into writing.
Grammar
Objectives:
1. Incorporate prepositions, objects of the preposition and prepositional phrases into original sentences.
2. Know the structure of a 3-point paragraph.
3. Assess mastery of previously learned material.
A copy of the Ch 5 Test was sent home with your student on Wednesday. Administer the test at home on Thursday (skip exercises 4 & 8). For Ex. 7, have your student try to list at least 15 prepositions. Additional prepositions will be awarded extra credit (+.25 pts each). Please circle errors in red pen and have students make corrections to the side. Return it to school for grading/scoring. You may read the Q&A flow from the teacher's manual to help students classify the sentences on this test and also feel free to answer questions any about the instructions.
Spelling

· What was their major scientific contribution?
· List the events that surrounded their discovery
· List some other interesting events in the scientist’s life.
· Why do you think it is important to learn about this scientist?
