History 

Objectives:

1. Complete research on WW II and present findings with a visual and written presentation.

2. Identify ways WW II impacted Americans' daily lives



This week you will use the notes and information you've gathered from your research to write about your chosen WW II topic(s).
Write two separate paragraphs, each with a topic sentence, several facts, and a clincher sentence. Bring your notes and/or KWO
to class on Wednesday so you can write your first paragraph in class. Your final draft may be handwritten or typed.

You will need to have facts from at least three source books and/or websites. Write down the title of the
book, the author, date of publication and page numbers frombooks that you use for information. Write down the name of the websites, the title of the article and the author and date if it is
listed on the website. We will be making Bibliography with this information on Wednesday.

Science
Objectives:
1. Review feathers lesson
2. Study the migration habits of various birds
3. Identify different types of flying 
4. Identify Texas birds 

Students will be making a field guide of Texas birds using pictures from the Texas Parks & Wildlife publication.  For coloring accuracy, search birds here:  https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/


Memory Work:  Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.

Poetry:  Our  third quarter poem is "In Christ Alone".  These lyrics are set to music and you can find numerous renditions online. Here in one. In Christ Alone. Additional copies here.

Geography:  We are beginning our study Eastern Europe this week.  The song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for labeling countries on a map. A word bank is provided.

History: We are beginning our memorization of the US Presidents. There are several YouTube video songs to help

with this. Here are two: US Presidents to "America" and US PresidentsFor assessment, students will write or sing all the presidents' first and last names. Due 5/5/21
