Objectives:
1. Understand a fraction of a set of objects
2. Find the number of objects in a fraction of a set
3. Multiply a fraction by a whole number
4. Express a part as a fraction of the whole

Spelling
Objective: Spell common holidays and words with /uff/ spelled ough.

Writing
Objectives:
1. Write a three point expository paragraph in third person 
2. Write a polished 3 paragraph final draft of a myth from an edited RD
3. Include strong verbs, -ly adverbs, who/which clause and new vocabulary in story

Grammar
Objectives:
1. Recognize and use helping verbs in sentences.
2. Know that "not" is usually an adverb
3. Use irregular verbs correctly in various tense forms

Latin
1. Practice the 1st Conjugation verb endings and 1st Declension noun endings
2. Review Latin vocab and grammar

History
Objectives: 
1. Identify problems Ireland faced in the mid-1800's.
2. Know that the Boer War was fought between Great Britain and Afrikaners and the British won.
3. Know that Pedro II made the slave trade illegal, freed slaves, and finally made slavery illegal in Brazil.

Science
Objectives:
1. Identify characteristics of beetles, flies, ladybugs and fireflies.
2. Continue to collect, study, and identify Texas insects.

Continue to add to your insect collection. You will need to have 10 different insects, all labeled with the Order,
name of insect, date, and location.

Memory Work:  Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.
Poetry:  Our first quarter poem is "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening".  Additional copies .here.
Geography:  We will have our test over Southern Europe this week.
