Objectives:

Here are instructions for administering the assessment.
Phonogram Drill Form (written portion) - Parents, read the sound or sounds on the card. Or if you prefer, you can play the sound on the
AAS app. Your student should then write the corresponding phonogram in the box. Mark any your child missed.
Classical Phonics Assessment Tracker (oral portion) - Show the card to the student. He or she should be able to correctly identify all
the sounds associated with that card.
Please note any phonograms your child missed on the form.
Grammar
Objectives:
1. Properly punctuate beginning and ending quotes.
2 Identify regular and irregular verbs.
3. Know past, present and future simple tenses for common verbs.
4. Change verbs to different tenses in a paragraph.

Composition
Objectives:
1. Take notes on facts about one topic from two sources.
2. Fuse two outlines into one.
Reading
We are reading Journey to Jo’Burg this week. Please complete the assigned reading and bring your book to class each day.
Latin
Objectives:
1. Memorize masculine, feminine and neuter adjective endings
2. Know that adjectives and nouns match the nouns they describe in gender, number and case.
3. Memorize Ch 11 vocabulary
History
Objective: Assess mastery of US Presidents
For Wednesday’s assessment, students may either write, say, or sing all of the US President’s first and last names in order. There will be a word
bank for the written assessment.
Next week we'll be learning about the Vietnam war, and reading about the conflicts both in Vietnam and at home in the US. Students will have
an assignment to find someone who was alive during this time period and interview them. This may be a relative, friend, neighbor, teacher, etc.
and may be done in person or by phone. A list of possible questions will be sent home on Monday and they’ll share their findings on Wed 2/27.
Science
Objectives:
1. Know that the balancing point of a disk is at its center.
2. Know that objects always come to rest at their balancing points.
3. Know that the center of gravity for an object is the point at which all of an object’s weight is concentrated.
Memory Work: Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.
History: We are beginning our memorization of the US Presidents. There are several YouTube video songs.
Here are two: US Presidents to "America" US Presidents For assessment, students will write or sing all the
