Math:
Continue doing a 5 min warm-up with the assigned Math fact sheet and 5 min of Mental Math. Work through MM 5 & 6 this week.Objectives:
1. Assess previously learned skills
2. Add 1 and 2-place decimals.
3. Subtract tenths from numbers of up to two decimal places.
4. Subtract hundredths from numbers of up to two decimal places
Work through Mental Math 5 & 6 this week.
Composition:
We're continuing Writing from Pictures this week, writing one paragraph per picture. Each paragraph should have a topic sentence describing the central fact of the picture with the rest of the paragraph filling in the who, when, where, what, why and how details, complete with required dress-ups. Reading:
Students should continue reading a classical book of choice. Pace yourself to finish the book in two
weeks. After each chapter, students should orally narrate or retell the passage to parents.
Grammar
Objectives: 1. Identify regular and irregular verbs
2. Identify simple verbs tenses and the tenses of helping verbs.
3. Change verbs to different tenses in a paragraph.
Spelling
Objectives: 1. Learn to spell /ij/ at the end of a word
2. Form irregular plurals.
