DiscipleshipAttention- "Everyone then who hears these words and does them is like a man who built his house on the rock.” – Matthew 7:24
BibleGenesis 1Genesis 2Genesis 3Genesis 7Write or draw something in your Bible journal reflecting this past week's reading.Students may come up with their own Bible journal prompts from whatever inspired them. They also may draw pictures instead of writing. Please note that these will not be "graded" per se, but will count as a participation grade. While we typically push complete sentences, correct grammar and spelling in their other journal assignments, Bible journal entries can be more relaxed and free flowing. We want them to be reflective and not worry about getting things "right." Since reflection of God's word is a very personal experience, there really is no "right" way to do the Bible journal entry. Students will have the option to share entries during Bible time classroom discussions.

Objective:  Experience the joy of the Lord which comes from spending time in His presence.

Start your homeschool day with prayer and Bible reading. We will be doing an overview of the Bible this year with selected passages from the entire Bible. I invite you to join us in reading the passages on home days and discussing them with your child.

Our Character Virtue of the month is Attention. Attention: One's mind and body are fixed on the matter at hand.

Math

4. Round a five-digit number to the nearest ten thousand, thousand or hundred.

Please make copies of the master math fact practice drill sheets sent home. Students will be expected to complete math fact practice drills on most home days. The appropriate sheet to use is denoted with the abbreviation “MF” followed by a letter (A, B, etc.) that specifies which sheet to use that day. Set the timer for five minutes. If the student finishes before the timer goes off, record the time on the sheet. If the timer goes off and the student does not finish, circle the place where he/she finished, then complete the rest of the page untimed. As soon as your student has mastery of a sheet (gets all correct within the 5 minutes) move on to the next MF practice sheet. Electronic copies are here: Math Facts
