Objectives:
1. Multiply 2-place decimals by a whole number.
2. Estimate the product.
3. Solve word problems involving multiplication of decimals.

Spelling
Objective:
1. Spell words containing the sound of /n/ spelled gn.
2. Assess phonograms
Here are instructions for administering the assessment.
Phonogram Drill Form (written portion) - Parents, read the sound or sounds on the card. Or if you prefer, you can play the sound on the
AAS app.  Your student should then write the corresponding phonogram in the box. Mark any your child missed.
Classical Phonics Assessment Tracker (oral portion) - Show the card to the student. He or she should be able to correctly identify all
the sounds associated with that card.
Please note any phonograms your child missed on the form.

Writing
Objectives:
1. Write a story consisting of 3 paragraphs which describe what is happening in a series of pictures.
2. Practice the Writing from Pictures structure: Central Fact, Details, and Clincher for each paragraph.
3. Use stylistic techniques of incorporating 6 dress-ups into each paragraph.
4. Introduce the prepositional opener dress-up.

Grammar
Objectives: Correctly punctuate sentences with beginning, middle and ending quotes

Reading
Objectives:
1. Engage in meaningful Socratic dialogue
2. Summarize a passage through oral narration.
3. Identify virtues in characters in The House of Sixty Fathers

Latin
Objectives:
1. Memorize 2nd Declension Neuter Noun Endings
2. Practice Latin vocabulary
3. Translate simple Latin sentences

History
Objectives:
1. Know that the Korean War resulted in the country being divided into Communist North Korea and democratic South Korea.
2. Identify facts about Korean culture.
3. Learn about challenges faced by North Koreans.

Science
Objectives:
1. Identify bird beaks and match with food preferences
2. Identify bird feet and match with habitats
3. Identify types of bird nests
4. Experiment to see which color birds prefer


Memory Work:  Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.
Poetry:  Our third quarter poem is "In Christ Alone".  These lyrics are set to music and you can find numerous renditions online. Here in one. In Christ Alone  Additional copies can be found here.
