Start your homeschool day with prayer and Bible reading. Our character virtue this month is Integrity.

Math  Please work through Mental Math 14 this week.
Objectives:
1. Find the volume of a solid in cubic units
2. Find volume using cubic centimeters
3. Learn other units of volume and compare relative sizes.
4. Use a formula to find the volume of a rectangular prism
5. Practice

Spelling
Objective: Analyze six ways to spell the sound of /er/


Grammar
Objectives:
1. Students will learn how to write a thank you note. 
2. Students will learn how to write an invitation: who, what, when, where, "whipped cream". 
3. Students will be able to identify the parts of a book: title page, copyright page, preface, body, table of contents, appendix, glossary, bibliography, index.    

Composition  
1. Make a story sequence KWO for a variation or a sequel to a fable.
2. Learn to dress-up writing by using an -ly opener.
3. Begin writing a RD using Story Sequence Outline


Reading
Objectives:
1.Spend 30-45 min of independent reading per day
2 Engage in meaningful discussion over assigned text.

Latin
Objective: Learn 2nd Conjugation verbs

History
Our history card this week focuses on Sept 11,2001. You decide how much or little you want to share with your student. The 9/11 Memorial has tips on talking to your children about terrorism which may be helpful. Talking To Children
