Math
Note: Start each day with a facts practice warm-up sheet. Do whichever page your child is currently working on. Set the timer for 5 minutes, circle the last problem completed, then complete the rest of the page. Optional: Correct and return to school for a completion grade. (Two sheets due per week). You could also make copies of the blank 1-12 times table and see how many they can fill out in 5 minutes. The quicker they have their multiplication facts memorized the easier everything will be.

2. Choose an aspect of WW II for further study and research presentation.
3. Identify causes and key figures of WW II.
4. Research and take notes on your selected topic.
Note: This week you will begin reading and taking notes about your chosen WW II topic(s). You will need to have several facts from at
least three books and/or websites (please have at least 1 book source per paragraph. We have a few in our classroom).
Please do not delay in finding sources so you don't fall behind on weekly assignments. There are many websites on WWII that are age-appropriate. Poetry: Our third quarter poem is "In Christ Alone." These lyrics are set to music and you can find numerous renditions online. Here is one. In Christ Alone. Additional copies here.
Geography: We are continuing our study of Eastern Europe this week. The song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for labeling countries on a map. A word bank is provided. (Note: I will occasionally supplement our Geography lesson with hands-on map reading skills.)
